Amazing Realistic Marble Sculptures by Jago Jacopo Cardillo

Jago Jacopo Cardillo, 30, is a self-taught sculptor from Italy who creates extremely detailed and precise sculptures using stone and in particular marble.

Jago Jacopo Cardillo was born in Frosinone on April 18, 1987, where he attended high school and the Academy of Fine Arts without ending his studies. At the age of 24, in 2011, he is selected for the Padiglione Italia of the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale of Art. In 2012 he received the Pontifical Medal, delivered by Cardinal Ravasi and Secretary of State Cardinal Bertone, for the Pontifical Insignia of Fine Arts and Letters of Virtues at the Pantheon at the headquarters of the Pontifical Council for Culture in Rome. This was in recognition of the marble bust of then Pope Benedict XVI.
