Sam Yong is a self-taught painter and illustrator from Melbourne, Australia. A self-confessed introvert, Yong’s love for solitude, the unknown and the natural world manifests through his artwork.
In his nature-inspired traditional paintings, he features animals and insects through which he explores rituals of human life related to birth, consumption, courtship, mating, death, and grief.
